OUR TEAM & EXPERTISE
The majority of our projects are in Monterey County, with occasional project in Santa Cruz, San Benito, Santa Clara, San Luis Obispo Counties. We work on a wide variety of projects, both public and private, including: Agriculture/ viticulture, multifamily housing,government facilities, educational facilities, medical/dental (including OSHPD-1 and 3) retail, offices/tenant improvements, and automotive/industrial. At this time, we are not accepting single family residential remodels for new clients.

Our employees are Avila Construction's most valuable asset. Avila Construction is proud to have the largest construction staff based in Monterey County. Our Team includes Project Managers, Project Engineers, Accounting & Risk Management staff, Site Superintendents, Foremen, Carpenters and Laborers. The breadth and depth of our Team's knowledge allows us to confidently complete just about any project the local market has to offer.

GENERATIONS OF BUILDERS
GENERATIONS OF DEDICATION
In 1988, the foundation of what has now been built into Avila Construction was poured. Steve Avila started the company, then called Steve Avila Construction, both managing the company and working in the field on mainly residential projects. In 1997, Steve’s brother Mike, experienced in commercial construction, became his partner. Since then, 5 of Mike and Steve's 6 collective children have joined the business.

Mike and Steve credit much of their work ethic and values to their parents; Their father, a local Carpenter and Site Superintendent, modeled the level of integrity, transparency, dedication, and professionalism Avila Construction employees are expected to achieve.
