MONTEREY COUNTY'S HOUSING LEADER
Beginning in 2015 with our Tanimura & Antle Agricultural Worker Housing Project, Avila Construction has been consistently working to add to the housing supply in Monterey County. We build both agricultural worker housing and housing serving all other members of the community.
Our apartment style ag housing projects are known as the gold standard of ag housing. Since 2015, we have entitled and constructed 355 agricultural employee housing units. 180 of these were completed for the 2021 growing season.

TANIMURA AND ANTLE
One of the many legacies of the late Rick Antle is the Tanimura & Antle Agricultural Housing complex.
Rick approached Avila Construction with the idea of building housing for his workforce. His vision for the housing was unlike the bunk- house style format typically used for ag housing. Rick pictured spacious, quality apartments and a high quality of life for his employees.
Avila Construction played an integral role in the entitlement of the project and upon receiving approvals immediately proceeded with construction. From concept to completion, this project took about 13 months to complete, including design and entitlements.
The Harvest Moon apartments sit immediately adjacent to the city limit line of Salinas. The apartments have great proximity to existing residential neighborhoods and retail stores.
This project was completed for the spring 2021 growing season. This complex contains 150 apartment units, 4 laundromats, 3 recreation rooms, and 2 on site managers offices/units.
Casa Boronda was the second project of its kind completed by Avila Construction. Owners and Operators Foxy Lettuce and The Growers Company made this project vision a reality.
This project, in the historic Boronda neighborhood of Salinas, contains 75 units, laundromats, and manager's facilities.
AG HOUSING, KING CITY
This agricultural worker housing project in King City, CA will be a best-in-class facility for agricultural workers. The facility consists of 59 living units, 1 manager unit, laundry and recreation facilities.
The project includes high end finishes and amenities such as wood cabinets, solid surface counters, and solar carports.
